These terms are an agreement between you and ceylonApz ("we", "us") governing your use of the AtharaMaga app ("the app"). By installing or using the app you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Driver safety — read this first
Alerts, distances, and left/right indications are estimates derived from GPS and mapping data. They can be inaccurate, delayed, or absent — due to GPS signal, device state, battery optimizations, network conditions, or incorrect map data. Never make a sudden or unsafe manoeuvre because of an alert.
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Android devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these terms and Google Play's terms. The app and all related intellectual property remain the property of CeylonAPZ.
3. Acceptable use
- Do not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the app except as permitted by law.
- Do not use the app in any way that violates traffic law or endangers any person.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, or misuse the app or the third-party services it relies on.
4. Third-party services and content
The app relies on services provided by Google, including Google Maps, the Places API, the Routes API, Firebase, and Android Auto. Place details (names, ratings, opening hours, photos) come from these services and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Your use of Google services through the app is also subject to Google's own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or for the accuracy of their data — for example, a place shown as open may be closed.
5. Availability and changes
We may update, change, or discontinue features of the app at any time, including where required by changes to third-party services. We do not guarantee that the app will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CeylonAPZ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss, damage, injury, accident, fine, or penalty arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app — including reliance on any alert, direction, distance, side indication, or place information. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses and how. It forms part of these terms.
9. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your license if you breach these terms. Sections 6, 7, and 10 survive termination.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance. The current version, with its effective date, will always be available on this page.
